SimplyCook is a recipe kit subscription service that wants to get Britain cooking! Delivered through the post, each box contains 4 recipe kits with authentic flavour blends and easy to follow recipes that allow you to transform fresh ingredients into the worlds most delicious dishes. Goals

Cool Points

My first real design job coming out of university.

Web Design

Working alongside the marketing and tech teams, I was involved in designing a responsive website. My role included creating web optimised assets and organising user testing sessions to help mould the UX to the needs of the customer base, ensuring that we hit our conversion targets.

App Design

The SimplyCook app was developed as a companion experience to the website, offering users the option to manage their deliveries and check shopping lists while on the go.

Print Design & Packaging

I redesigned the existing packaging to match the vibrant, colourful new direction the brand was taking. This also helped improve the user experience by putting more useful information on the product itself. Recipe cards were designed to be as easy to follow as possible. My role was to design the layout and art direct the recipe images with the company chef.

Retail Packaging

We worked with a design agency to create the design for our retail packs. My role was then to transfer and improve on the design for new recipes as they launched in supermarkets.

Marketing Content Creation

Working with photographers and videographers we sourced the assets needed to create marketing content. My role spanned across all aspects of the process from art direction to content creation.
